WCEF Paw Patrol 2017-18
Wolfe City Educational Foundation's Paw Patrol surprised teachers and students at all 3 campuses with Grant Awards on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Foundation Board Members were joined by some of our generous donors to hand out big checks to all the winners. The morning was filled with a lot of fun and a lot of noise as we made our way to each classroom.
During this grant cycle, teachers submitted 27 grant applications. The grant review process allowed the District to prioritize grants and identify any requests that the district budget could fund. While the Foundation is separate from the school, it is very important that we work closely with Administration to ensure that every dollar is spent in conjunction with the district goals. This also gives the District an opportunity to fund those ideas that they may not have otherwise been aware of. We are excited to announce that 19 requests were funded in some way! Almost $24,000 in innovative teaching grants were awarded during the 2017-18 Grant Cycle! Take part in some of the fun with us as you enjoy some of the pictures that were captured during the Paw Patrol excitement.
This moment would absolutely not be possible if it were not for all of our wonderful supporters. THANK YOU to everyone who has supported WCEF and made this day possible. A special thank you to Larry and Colette Young with 10-2-4 Angus Ranch as well as Ron & Julia Wensel for leading the way with our Leave Your Print - Founding Donor Campaign.

Business of 3D Printing
CTE - Career Technology Education
Students at WCHS have an opportunity to learn a variety of skills that they can use after high school through CTE Classes. This year they added 3D Printing to their resumes.
Teacher Jamie Malone Moore said "I love sitting an unopened box in front of students and letting THEM figure it out. They did experience a failure or two, but ultimately they succeeded. Thank You Wolfe City Educational Foundation - The students are very excited to create some fun projects!"
