WCEF Paw Patrol - 2016-17
On Friday, April 7, 2017 the Wolfe City Educational Foundation's Paw Patrol invaded all 3 campuses at WCISD to surprise teachers and students with Grant Awards. Foundation Board Members were joined by some of our generous donors to hand out big checks to all the winners. The morning was filled with a lot of fun and a lot of noise as we made our way to each classroom.
During the very first grant cycle for WCEF, there were 13 grant applications submitted. The grant review process allowed the District to identify 3 of those requests as things that the district budget could pay for. While the Foundation is separate from the school, we work closely with Administration to ensure that every dollar is spent in conjunction with the district goals. This also gives the District an opportunity to fund those ideas that they may not have otherwise been aware of. We are excited to announce that ALL 13 requests were funded in some way! Almost $9,000 in innovative teaching grants were awarded during the 1st WCEF Grant Cycle! Take part in some of the fun with us as you enjoy some of the pictures that were captured during the Paw Patrol excitement.
This moment would absolutely not be possible if it were not for all of our wonderful supporters. THANK YOU to everyone who has supported WCEF and made this day possible. A special thank you to Larry and Colette Young with 10-2-4 Angus Ranch for taking the lead on our Leave Your Print - Founding Donor Campaign by making a donation In Memory of Rosale Carter.
